THE BREAKING POINT

It is the story of three couples, all related, who are facing challenges in their marriages.  Past family issues never dealt with play a part.  It shows the extent that some people will go to in order to prevent themselves from being hurt, even if it’s at the expense of someone else’s feelings–even someone they dearly love.  Can they get past their pain before it’s too late?

A TEST OF FAITH

Can anything break the bond that identical twin sisters have shared since birth?  Thirty-five-year-old Andrea Hamilton and her sister Leah Washington have always been close until the day Andrea’s husband is killed by a drunk driver.  Leah and other family members rush to the widow’s side in efforts to help her deal with her grief and learn the day after the funeral that Andrea is pregnant with the second child she and her husband Clayton longed to have.

In the midst of planning her upcoming nuptial to her fiancé Devin, Andrea’s brother-in-law, Leah still tries to provide her sister with the emotional and physical support she needs.  Leah even volunteers to be Andrea’s Lamaze partner despite her reputation of passing out at the sight of blood.

Andrea becomes so consumed in her grief that she begins to lash out at the people she loves the most.  She especially aims her anger toward Leah as she witnesses the love her sister and Devin share–something she no longer has with Clayton.  As her faith is put to the test, Andrea spirals down a road she never imagined she would go.  Can her dwindled faith bring her back to God and her family?

A MEASURE OF FAITH

Two weeks before her fortieth birthday, thirty-nine year old Interior Designer Lynnette Montgomery has a car accident on her way home from the doctor's office after receiving the devastating news that she has fibroid tumors and may need to have a hysterectomy. Therein starts a chain of events that will test Lynnette's faith and pull to the fore memories of a very painful childhood.

Plagued with thoughts of the surgery and painful memories of her childhood, Lynnette and her husband Robert feel as though they are on a roller coaster of ups and downs. Robert tries to be supportive and understanding of his wife's emotional and physical state as she contemplates whether or not to have the surgery. When Lynnette's longtime friend Simone Kirkland pops back into her life, Lynnette allows Simone's independent thinking to influence her in ways that threaten the stability of her marriage.

Just when Lynnette comes to terms with how much her life has changed, she receives more news that will shatter her world and almost tear down her spirit. At 40 years of age, she will come to truly see that it takes a measure of faith to help one through the pains of life.
